Just curious, do most people who live in Vancouver think SkyTrain is an effective system? Is it good for getting around within the city or is it more of a commuter rail?

Does it go to most neighborhoods people want to be in? Is it reliable and fast? Do a lot of people use it?

No it is terrible and over priced and cost wise a on the ground trolly system would of been cheaper and easier to expand with B.C.'s massive growth and urban sprawl.

It is like a Underground Subway System in terms of cost to build and same high expense too maintain the elevated track and has pretty much all the cost issues of building a underground subway system would have also.

Depends where you wanna go. If you live in certain neighborhoods, like say Metrotown, it's great for commuting to downtown, though it is expensive.
