I've a possibility of moving to Vancouver next year. I've 2 kids one in high school and one in elementary. I'm looking for recommendations for a good family friendly neighborhood with good public schools. I don't know the exact location of my workplace yet.

Private? Public? French immersion?

Check school rankings here where you can set filters: Compare academic rankings and ratings of British Columbia schools

Compare academic rankings and ratings of British Columbia schools

The "best" ranked schools usually surround West Point Grey, Kitsilano, Arbutus Ridge and Dunbar, Vancouver is expensive and forcing yourself to live in a very good school catchment district really redefines the meaning of Bring Cash in BC. Kitsilano is likely the most affordable of those and great for families and outdoor activities, but Mount Pleasant brings a happy medium between affordability, livability and urban amenities. I'd also look into Riley Park, Marpole (north of 70th) and Killarney for options.
