is it a good school?
how is there nursing program?
are the students nice there and easy to get along with?
etc.....
VCC is a good school. It provides upgrading and a lot of their programs are more vocational in nature. Which nursing program are you asking about? The LPN program is good and has a 2 year waiting list. Employers hiring LPN's prefer VCC grads to the other schools in the area. If you are asking about the BSN program, it's brand new but I imagine it would good. It really doesn't matter where you get your BSN. I am working on my BSN right now.
DO NOT try to talk to the Program Coordinator in the Addicitions Counselling and Community Worker program. She will suck the momentum and wind right out of your sail. I called to ask a simple question and she was short and brash and went on to burden me with the fact that she gets 15-30 calls a day and as such only advises at her info sessions. She would not answer a single question, in the meantime. This person needs to regain her passion for her career and position. I would not want to study under her!
Hi all, I would like to know if the VVC is a good school to learn gemmology in Vancouver or if it's better to go to Canadia Institute of Gemmology. Many thanks in advance.
I work for a health authority and often see people hired from VCC. I have never seen a single grad froom Sprott Shaw, FYI - just for anyone who might read this who is interested in their MOA program... I know someone who sent to Sprott Shaw -bad idea! I have never seen someone hired by the health authority who has been there. I probably could have written this post better, but was lazy
I don't know about this particular program, but their TESOL program is really, really Mickey Mouse. I don't know how they can even get certified to teach the program. I would certainly check other options if I were you.
Vancouver Community College is a school you really should check thoroughly before attending. I was gravely disappointed in the TESOL program. I have attended lots of colleges and universities, and VCC is at the bottom of my list.
