Everyone uses just a light vinegarette; where are the people who love the tons of gloppy Ranch or 1,000 Island like me?

Why not simply learn how to make a basic vinaigrette?
There is no such culinary term as, "vinegarette".

I'll bet those anchovies go on your pizza too.

They absolutely do! Sometimes. Now I'm on a green olive kick for my pizza salt kick, though.

My current favorite salad is:

Avocados cut in chunks
Slices of red onion
small or cherry tomatoes sliced in half
English (seedless) cucumber, peeled and cut in quarter slices
Feta cheese
Salt & pepper

The first times I made it I used Greek vinagrette bottled dressing - wonderful
Then I started making my own with just olive oil and lemon juice, seasoned with salt & pepper - delicious and less fattening

Fabulous salad!

My salad isn't complete until we've dressed it with capers.

Those little nuggets of surprise seem to make my salads beg for an encore.

And yet I'm not a fan of capers. There I am, the wallflower at that party.
