Tonight, I was eating at Charlie Brown's and decided to take a gamble and eat from the salad bar, despite knowing about the romaine lettuce outbreaks as of recently. I figured that Charlie Brown's is a high quality, reputable chain, and hundreds of people are eating from that salad bar every day (and tonight the salad bar had a huge line) and that they wouldn't keep that lettuce if they thought it might be contaminated. Afterwards, I sort of regretted my decision, and I feel perfectly fine right now, but I don't know whether their lettuce comes from Arizona or not. My friend says I'm being paranoid and I'm probably fine, but I'm certainly hoping I didn't put myself at risk. Anyway, do you think I will be ok or is it likely that that lettuce is from AZ and I will get infected?
So you do think I will be infected for sure? I was looking for a more clear answer.
How can anyone know? Of course I do not think you are for sure infected, I was just telling you what I would do if I was worried. I'd want to know how quickly e-coli would show itself so I could maybe feel 'in the clear' after x amount of time.

If you had been infected, you would already be sick at both ends and would not have the wherewithal to ask online!
My Publix never stopped selling Romaine, so there were safe sources during the Yuma thing.
