Sweet, now Trader Joe's is going in with their brand using pea protein (same as Beyond).

They've always had veggie and bean burgers, this one looks good so definitely will try some. Plus it's a few dollars cheaper than Beyond.

Trader Joe's is no stranger to meat alternatives, as it's been selling soy-based ground "meat," Tofurky, and a plethora of veggie burgers for years before plant-based foods became trendy.

Recently, the popular grocer released a new vegan item: Protein Patties. Similar to the Beyond Burger, Trader Joe's Protein Patties are made with plant-based protein, do not contain soy, and are, hence the name, heavy on the protein.

I might give that a try, since it doesn't contain soy. Thanks for the heads-up!

Does anyone else think the size and construction of these packages is a bit over the top? That giant pack of plastic and paper board has only two 1/4-pound patties inside! My wife bought one of these out of curiosity, it’s in the freezer, will likely try them this weekend.

I have thought the same about Beyond Burgers that I have purchased as well. It's a whole lot of plastic waste that will keep me away. Can't they at least stick 4 in there?

Each to their own. I still prefer traditional tempeh. I dont need my burger to bleed.

Not too good at reading directions, are ya? It says right there under the plastic window "Not suitable for freezing".
