Has anyone found an online source for ordering whole/ancient grains?

I started to place an order online with one source but abandoned my shopping cart when the shipping costs were going to be around $30!!

My local grocery store stocks few whole grains and I'll have to dig a little deeper in other groceries in neighboring communities.

We live in a smaller community and not near urban areas...no Whole Foods or Trader Joe's w/i several hours of us...

We live in a small rural community so maybe I can help you. We try to buy local whenever we can to help keep businesses and suppliers stay open. Ask those in your area if they will order for you or stock your requests. Bob's RedMill grains and flours are in a lot of stores so we use that source. We also order our red and white wheat berries, lentils, and beans from www.palousebrand.com they are a good family run business with excellent products and top shelf service.
The rest we supplement from www.pleasanthillgrains.com

Hope this helps...

For whole grains I use Azure Standard. There are multiple ways to buy/ship product, and they are the best source for economical, fresh whole grains.

Vitacost has a wide variety of grains and free shipping for orders over $49. They also have great coupon sales on Monday or Tuesday. Sometimes its a food sale with a 15% or 20% off coupon. One can also find vitacost coupons on the retailmenot site.
