i actually went to buy a pizza i had't had much choice as i already have my food at home uncooked. here is a little picture of what i have got such as oranges, avocados, quinoa, bulgar wheat and dried beans such as lentils and other groups, but non of my beans was cooked and its late considering i have lectures tomorrow so i decided to try out a cheese and tomato pizza. i hated the fact of going to buy it, but didn't have any choice and i did my best not think about cheese as part of the animal considering it has large amount of cholestrol which is indeed animal fat.

not to be arrogant but the pizza was nice and after i ate it all. I felt sick i still feel sick, i think next time i would rather sleep hungry. After all i was in a mood of vegan meal but time consuming at a late hour, had just been out.

has any vegan ever come across this situation before, the last time it happen it was my friend bought me a vegetarian pizza people forget that a vegan would not find it comfortable to eat animal products, to me it feels as bad as eating meat that is why i am in disgust of what i have eaten. surely we all learn fro our mistakes and that is the way forward of becoming stronger.

Try not to worry about it too much. Thankfully, it hasn't happened it a number of years, but for awhile, I accidentally ate meat about once a year. I would special order something, usually replacing beans for meat, but that part of the order wouldn't go through. Then I would be too engrossed with conversation that I didn't look close enough at what it was. Ughh! I actually had a restuarant try to charge me for my meal twice, because they screwed up. IMO, I should have gotten it totally free!

Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Try not to beat yourself up over it.

A suggestion, though, if you find yourself in the same situation in the future -- perhaps just take off the cheese and eat the tomato-sauced-covered crust? Or pull the cheese off, and top it with lots of veggies ..... ???

I'm not a vegan and I can get that sick feeling after eating cheese or meats. The animal fats are to blame. Don't continue to beat yourself up, your body has already reminded you.

That sick feeling can even come from eating fast food when you're not used to it.

Cheese is heavy at any time, nevermind when you haven't eaten it for ages.

Can well imagine you would have felt sick or bloated. For the most part, don't think we visualize how much cheese actually goes into some pizzas.

You may have eaten a whole brick! (sorry)

I don't know where you are - but here in AZ we have zpizza...it is low-fat, organic gourmet pizza and they have an excellent veggie pizza - soy cheese and all - if vegan though, you just have to ask for it w/out the pesto sauce cuz there is a little bit of cheese in the pesto. It is yummy! Gluten free crust even!

There's a discussion here somewhere (in this thread, perhaps?) about the "ick factor" of soycheese. Have you found a brand that works well on pizza? If so, please share!
