And isolated soy protein is one of the 'hidden MSG sources' .. more sneaky marketing techniques ..

From what I've read I don't think of soy as a health food. It's one of the most common food allergens and many more people are sensitive or intolerant to soy.

I would argue that most people who eat meat and who avoid foods such as tofu and other fake meat products are still getting a hefty dose of soy in their diet. Most factory farm raised animals are fed a steady diet of soy (which is totally not their natural diet) so people who eat meat and eggs and chicken are getting a lot of soy in their diet anyway from the soy fed to the animals.

I know that vegans read food labels much more carefully then the average consumer and are much more aware of how much soy is in pre-packaged and processed foods. It's really a hard thing to avoid.

I can't digest soy so I tend to avoid it but even if I could tolerate it I'd probably still try to limit my intake since I do not consider it to be a healthy food and it's something that I can easily find alternatives to.

I found this to be an interesting article. Forgive me if it was already posted in this thread. Is soy healthy?
