You can still take part in Oxnard's International Restaurant week untill January 31'st 2011, and for those that miss it you can visit the link for additional ideas on local eating places in Oxnard.

Oxnard Restaurants - Dining Guide: Oxnard, CA CVB

Winston, Tweed is now up to 6 post's. Way to go Tweed.

Tweed, It isn't so much that you haven't visited as of yet. I understand that. I am just so used to getting a responce at a much quicker rate that what was offered by you. Not that it matters in such a public forum. My point it that we rushed to offer solutions and I thought you would have rushed to offer thank you's to the few of us active within the Ventura County sub forum. Now that you have, your welcome.

Oh and are they still saying "chill" back in Wisconsin? LOL

Downtown, Yea I know, we do offer all this advice for the many that will enter the forum. I have to remember that what we all do for fun does help plenty of others that will visit. I just have this need for instance gratification and the knowledge that I was of some help to the current seeker of local information. LOL

I think if you ate out once every weekend in Ventura, you'd last at least a solid couple of years (maybe even 3) trying a new authentic/local restaurant. There's gotta be a dozen taquerias alone on The Avenue, plus another dozen+ various restaurants in downtown on Main Street.

And many of them are damn good too!

I think Dakota's was on the hill overlooking the freeway, off Stow. That started as a Josephina's around, hmmm, 1985 or so??? It has been several restaurants since. Great location.
