Specifics? Oh, never mind, I already did that for you!

Anyway, your bias against Oxnard, for the Conejo Valley and stamina to argue and pontificate ad nausium on the Ventura County boards is famous. Give it a rest for once.

I have no bias against Oxnard, nor do I have a bias for the Conejo Valley.

The only thing I have stated here is that there are some areas in Ventura County that aren't safe, in particular parts of Oxnard.

That's not the impression you project.

Sure, there are bad parts of every city in Ventura County. But it would be helpful to newcomers to the area if instead of saying, "be very afraid in parts of Oxnard," as you often do, you would offer some specifics on what to avoid or seek out in this -- the largest city on the coast between L.A. and San Jose. At 200,000 population, a city the size of Boise, Idaho or Rochester, NY; and larger than Salt Lake City, UT or Little Rock, AR, to get things into a bit more of a proper perspective. Area wise, Oxnard is larger than San Francisco, so there is plenty to drill into. Be specific. Be helpful.

I suppose to those with an inferiority complex...

I never said "be very afraid in parts of Oxnard", I implied that there are areas of Oxnard that aren't safe in response to someone that suggested that Ventura County is all safe. Simple as that...yet here we are still talking about it.

In terms of specifies, I would hope Oxnard residents would provide specific information about the bad areas of their city instead of implying that they don't exist.

But then you wouldn't have anyone to argue with and would probably cease to exist.

Ofcourse driving through Oxnard would include seeing good areas as well as bad. Who is going to pretend that we don't have both. Still you can't see the bad without seeing the good. Visiting the bad areas would also include seeing the improvements being made in the city. If you do report make it a truthfull report. I would include visiting those bad areas during the night as well. You want to give an honest oppinion of the area. I mean wouldn't the readers here want to know how bad it really is in Oxnard at all times of the day.
I just about died laughing reading this posting....brilliant....please drive through all of Oxnard at night, get out of the car and take pictures...lmao!

Crime can happen anywhere...just on Monday, I was in South Beach in Miami and my car was burgularized...all my stuff STOLEN..who would think that this would happen just across the street from the police station!

I've been in Oxnard more than 10 years and no issues...crime exists everywhere.

Should add that there are parts of Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark and Camarillo that have bad areas. I have no idea where they are, but I know they exist. So I would recommend staying out of those cities -- particularly the bad parts. Fail!

Major U.S. cities smaller than Oxnard:

Salt Lake City, UT
Providence, RI
Little Rock, AR
Vancouver, WA

There are bad parts in those cities, too. Especially in the bad parts.
