I recently moved to the area and I wanted to know what are the best hospitals in the area, specifically for labor and delivery. We live in Oxnard, but I am willing to go to another city if it is worth it. My goal is to have a natural birth in a hospital setting.

What OBGYN did you see? My doctor is Dr. Gary Nishida and he's pretty good. He is in Oxnard though.

I would recommend any of them that are in the system. With as many clinics that we have within the system it would be hard to say use this one over that one or what have you. What I like about Dr Diesfelds office is it is in our Medical Office building. The building is across the street but connected to the hospital with a 3rd story bridge that spans the street. I have seen patients that were told that they were going to have the baby the same day and were brought across that bridge and taken to labor and delivery. Always thought that was cool. Besides that he has a real cool fish tank in his office and a nice office staff.
