Sounds like you just want a neighborhood veterinarian for meds, but if your dog ever needs anything more complex, this is the BEST place to go in the County. They are up in Ventura, but worth it.
At any given time they have up to 20 vets, because they are a teaching hospital. Internships there are highly desired and competitive; vets come from all over the country to intern there. Many of the vets are specialized to dermatology, orthopedics, cancer, etc. So you have instant access for consults.
Dr. Theresa Ortega is especially sharp, and is one of the attending vets.
