LOL - "almost Bakersfield" .....

Many moons ago, when I was young and stupid, I was going way too fast down Hwy 33, when a little hole in the wall caught my eye. A good old fashioned gas station, probably built during one of the oil or cattle booms of the 20s. So I pulled in. Gassed up. There was an attached resto/bar - got me a beer, and a sixer to go. Drank one as I drove on down toward Ojai. Risky, yes ... but there were no authorities let alone very many cars, on the leg from Ventocopa to Wheeler ... by the time I hit Meiners I was A-OK and no worse for wear.

I would agree with this map, based on what I know. Goes to show Ventura county does have quite a bit of geographic variety.
