Was wondering what you think of the air quality in Thousand Oaks. It must be better than Los Angeles, but how does it seem when you are living there? If you have asthma or respiratory issues, does it bother you? I have researched this online, but just wondering what local folks think.

Also - are the current fires affecting the air right now? I know the fires last year must have hit the area pretty hard as far as air quality.

It's been good air quality here, the current fires to the east have had no effect. Even the fires last year in Ventura did not blow toward Thousand Oaks. It's usually at least 10 degrees cooler here than in the Valley, so that helps reduce the inversion layer.

I don't have respiratory issues, but have lived here for decades and the air quality has improved year-over-year, fires notwithstanding.

Check your zip code at: airnow.gov as well ad look at all the links available as to air quality.
