We are full time rv'ers and spend part of our time in Ventura County CA and the other part in Ohio. While in California, We would like to know if there is a law or ordinance governing the maximum amount of time we can stay on a lot in an RV park in Ventura County, CA. As just a point of interest, if I were a California resident is it different?

Thank you!

Do you mean a privately-owned park, or a county park?

Seems to depend on what your classification is:

"Occupant" means the owner or operator of a recreational vehicle who has occupied a lot in a park for 30 days or less.
"Resident" means a tenant who has occupied a lot in a park for nine months or more.
"Tenant" means the owner or operator of a recreational vehicle who has occupied a lot in a park for more than 30 consecutive days.

You can read up on it:

I live in Carpinteria, edge of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties and I can tell youth city code and police (county sheriffs dept.) are very lax on enforcement if you move everyday. City is from 9am to 4pm and sheriffs are from 11pm to 7am. Fine is $125 but seldom given. Cheers
