Lake sherwood "behind the gates" is more of a Hidden Hills type of lifestyle. Literally the rich and famous live there (more rich than famous but still both are there). Down the road into Westlake Village proper its pretty nice. Certainly less hot in the summer and a lot more removed from the LA scene than Calabasas, but otherwise it feels similar. Loads of people all over who love to hike, bike and walk their dogs. Most importantly, all year 'round!

Life in unincorporated means far less law enforcement response and very little in the way of amenities/sidewalks, etc.

Are you able to do a comparison between North County San Diego and the area?
