For gophers...use these spear traps....first link below. Second link is how to get them.

First find the gopher mounds...go out in morning and look for fresh dirt in the mound...dig through that to find the main burrow (dirt will be softer when digging/searching). Set the spear trap and place deep in main burrow....attach a rope/heavy twine to trap and tie to a stick in ground so it doesn't drag the trap underground. Make sure to cover entire trap back up with dirt...see links below and good luck!

Never used humane traps. How the heck did you blindfold them?

If you got a few that quick, there is probably an infestation. Best to use some bait box stations to whittle them down...not very humane though, so you may not want to to that.

The smarter rats will avoid the poison as well. Best to get them with the standard Victor snap traps below (be careful setting them as they are powerful)...bend the metal spear tine up and put a RAW ALMOND on as bait..works well since they have to work hard to pull them off...usually resulting in getting slammed.

I like this! But, ya gotta be a good neighbor. Therefor, I recommend an air rifle w/scope. They're a lot quieter. Besides, with a silencer, the gophers won't know what's going on, until a half dozen are smoked.
