Weather San Fernando valley vs conejo valley (Oxnard, Thousand Oaks: home, buying)

I live in the east San Fernando valley (specifically burbank). Considering a move to Thousand Oaks or Agoura hills. Is it any cooler out there than the sfv? Anything I should be aware of - parts of town to avoid buying in, how it compares to a smaller city such as burbank. Thanks

Agreed with the poster above. Although technically it could be cooler with ocean breeze come up from Oxnard, or through the canyons.

Compared with Burbank, Burbank is more "urban" whereas the Conejo Valley is more "suburban" dotted with supermarkets and local malls, basically a bedroom community.

I used to live in Westlake Village and when driving home from working late (past midnight), I see group of coyotes that came down from the hills and roaming the Westlake Blvd looking for pets to eat.

Born and raised in Montrose, (fairly close to Burbank), and lived in TO. Weather is pretty much the same. Drop down the grade into Camarillo and the weather is definitely a bit cooler. No "bad" areas in TO nor Agoura Hills. Pretty upscale areas.

Thousand Oaks will likely be cooler than SFV on the whole. Simi Valley gets hot, like SFV, but TO gets a little relief being closer to the coast. I would say the the western part of Conejo Valley (Newbury Park) is cooler than the eastern and northern ends (Westlake Village, Sunset Hills, respectively).
