Does anyone here know (about) what temp the beach lake water is right now? We will be in Burlington all weekend and planned to go swimming/wading with our kids at North Beach.

According to Lake Champlain morning marine forecast from Roger Hill's Weathering Heights the water temperature is 68F. Have fun with that swimming When I was 12 that was warm enough. Now that I'm 34, not so much.

Down here, in Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County, VA, the water temperature was 78F yesterday. That's about my minimum now that I've grown up into a big sissy.

68 F is nothing for kids. I brought my kids to the NJ beach on Monday and the ocean temp is 68F, I thought it was cold but they were in, riding the waves having a blast. To be young...

We'll be up in Burlington for 2 weeks in August (to check out the area for a possible move there in three years), hopefully the lake will warm up enough by then for me to go in!

Thanks for the great lake weather link. 68 should be great since it is only going to be in the low-mid 70's Sat & Sun.

The water's pretty shallow at North Beach. It'll be warmer than the quoted temp, I'd wager.

I'm going in tomorrow.
I'm a big sissy too, but the family went for Summer vacation and I stayed home working - so I'm getting in for a minute temp be darned...
