Hi everyone. I asked a few posts ago about how the Doctors are in the Manchester, Bennington area. It didnt really get answered
. So can anyone tell me about the quality of Medical care in Vermont, mainly the southern region. What type of Doctors do you all have? General practioners, specialist??

It's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on who you talk to. Last week there was an article that Vermont ranked 3rd in the nation for best healthcare.
Conversly, there was an article that said due to a shortage of pediatricians in Bennington, one just left leaving only one with another coming in September so if you going to have a baby on the weekend you have to go somewhere else.
In the rural places in Vermont there is a doctor shortage. In southern Vermont I assume if your in Bennington and you have a serious problem you go to Albany, in Bratt you go to Dartmouth Hitchcock. I only have personal experience with Gifford Hospital in Randolph and feel their care is excellent.
