Well, it's lovely here. My husband doesn't go to work till tomorrow night so hopefully it will be over by then. Sunday snow is wonderful!
Anyhow, he just said to me, "I've never seen it come down so fast."
Life in the mountains...
Looks like we have about 3 inches already.
Hope you are all okay! Hey, if you plow..what a great year for you!! $$$$

We in Rutland are getting almost nothing! There was maybe 2.5" of snow on the ground this morning and now it's not even precipitating. My husband is looking at a satellite map on www.weather.com. It seems that this storm is circling us and we are in the eye. Could be that the circle will close and dump it all on us. Or maybe we won't get much at all.

Ya...we're in a lull now. Has not snowed for about an hour. There's more coming though!

OMG!!! Is that what you're paying for plowing? Is it a giant property?

We pay $12 per plowing incident for our 4-car-deep, 2-car-wide drive. So we end up paying $200 per year for plows at most. I can only imagine what it would cost to have a 1/2-mile driveway or more. Probably we'd buy a truck and put a plow on it.

We pay $600 flat for the season. We have a fairly long, steep, curvy driveway. We've been getting our moneys worth so far!

I kind of like that system. Some years you come out ahead, some years the plow-person comes out ahead, probably overall it balances out. And you win regardless because you can get in and out of your driveway. We are very, very nice to our plow guy! :-)
