Hello, we're new residents of Montgomery and are looking for some information about how to get involved in charity, volunteer, or outreach activities in the area. What are some organizations in northern Vermont that deal with this sort of work (helping the poor, providing disaster relief, elderly care, etc.)? We have a car and can drive up to 30 minutes out of town.
Join the local fire department. The hospital in St. Albans might be looking for volunteers. Contact the United Way in St. Albans. Join the Rotary Club, Lions Club etc. Local churches also do lots of charity work.
