I can understand the "healthy" aspect for kids especially if they routinely see a dentist, have their shots when required, and are physically active outdoors. Then, once they get into their teens if they can avoid becoming addicted substance abusers barring any chronic disease the majority should enter their adult years in good health. Having grown up in NYC and going through the public school system my friends and I were pretty healthy and very physically active. We sure did a lot walking and exploring and played a lot stick ball and baseball. In the summer it was not unusual on a weekly basis to head for the beach early in the morning and stay until dusk. In general kid's health is pretty much linked to lifestyle and some pretty basic general maintenance no matter where you live.

Yes, Vermont does in fact have an extraordinarily high use of marijuana. Anybody who's ever lived their knows this to be true.
