Hi Guys,

I have been looking around for a store that sells coke from either Mexico or Canada. The reason is that they still use real sugar in those countries (unlike here, where everything has corn syrup in it).

Anyway, I am in the Burlington area. I checked City Market, but they had no idea what I was talking about.

Anyone ever buy it here?

Thanks!

Look for Kosher Coke. It has a yellow cap and is usually in the stores around the time of Passover, or if you are near an area with a large Jewish population you may find it in the "off season". It has real sugar and is very tasty. I try to stock up when I can.

I carry Mexican Coke at my pizzeria. Right now, that's in NJ. If you can't find it locally, PM me and we'll figure out shipping. People are always amused when I call my 'Coke guy' and ask for Mexican Coke. It really is made with 100% sugar cane and tastes like it did back in the old days!

Now I am totally intrigued. When I find it, I will be trying Kosher or Mexican or whatever they're calling the Coke with sugar. I'm really disgusted with all the corn syrup. Not that I drink anything besides water, coffee, and cider, but once in a while, or if my tummy's upset, a good Coke . . .

Drive up to Canada. It's only an hour. While you are getting the Coke, get the Heinz ketchup-it uses the real sugar too.

Down here in Houston, there's Mexican coke in glass bottles everywhere. Great stuff.

Thanks! Canada's more like 2 hours from us but we love the trip -- and love Canada.

Maybe that's why everything tastes awful these days.
I am not much for ketchup but I had some the other day and it was AWFUL.

I am also curious about this now!! Shaw's has a kosher section so maybe they will carry it.

Interesting! It looks like Pepsi also observes...

The ketchup and the Coke really do taste better with sugar. Thank the corn lobby for that, btw.
