Actually I have nothing good to say about VT. I had the misfortune of being born here, thats all.

He is warning people of a like mind that VT is full of: hippies, yuppies, or rednecks who pine for the 19th century.
Which would you rather have conservatives talking about VT or conservatives unwittingly moving to VT?

There's really not as many of them running around the state as many outside VT expect. But political lobbying groups hold heavy sway over our legislature, on other subjects as well...

...they can smell a certain smug air of superiority from miles away. And it's not a nice smell.

Being a graduate of the State University in Plattsburgh, I gotta agree. Vermonters are FAR more patient with pedestrians.
