Even as the weather turns, apparently nudity is still a hot topic.
After all, you're here aren't you?

I would imagine only the hardy ones are out and about in the altogether these days. Some things require true dedication.

It's a hot topic because the Brattleboro Selectboard has perpetuated the issue and in doing so, has drawn a lot of media attention. As you can see, it's again, on the selectboard meeting agenda for Nov 6th.

If this is to end, the board must do one of 2 things:
1) Just say a firm "No" to an ordinance.
2) Pass an ordinance that deals with the specifics at hand, that is completely limited to those specifics, and is not otherwise restrictive. Otherwise, the citizens would petition to have a special town meeting and vote down the new law, further dragging on a rather meaningless issue and bringing more headlines, national media attention, and rude nudes.

It's even hotter on www.ibrattleboro.com , the citizen run on-line newspaper.

So whatever happened with Brattleboro and nudity?

Someone else mentioned that in Burlington, people are free to go nude? Still the case? Any changes there?

I believe it's still legal to be nude in Brattleboro. I believe the ordinance in Burlington says you can be nude, but can't do the disrobing in public.

Since very, very few people have been nude in either place (but those few instances got so much attention that you'd think it happened daily), the status quo remains.
