I have a business trip this week. Does anyone know of shuttles, buses, or trains from anywhere in Vermont to Bradley Airport?
Normally, I'd just park my car at the airport. My husband's car is finally going downhill and won't pass inspection this year. We're not rushing out to get a new car. We're considering living with one car for a while.
I don't want to leave my husband with only our decrepit 2nd car for a week. He's happy to take me to the airport or even drive the junker, but I'm hoping there are alternatives.
Thanks!

Did you check VT Transit/Greyhound? Not sure if they have a stop at Bradley though

Thanks! I did. I could get a bus from Bellows Falls but the timing to arrive at & return from Hartford was all wrong.
OT, I thought I picked a question mark icon for this threat but now it looks like a sleeping orange kitty or a thumbs-down. I need coffee!

Hmmm....I wonder if there is some sort of service like Logan Express (remote lots where you can park your car and get bussed into Logan).
I'd suggest posting on the CT board. I'm sure there are lots of Bradley fliers there.
Next time book out of Burlington .

Thanks! Good idea about the CT board. Off I go.
I prefer to fly out of Bradley. It's not that much farther a drive than BTV and I get much better flights.

There should be "Flight Line" van services out of Rutland to Bradley.

I agree. I'm somewhat horrified at the lack of public transportation. I'd rather take a bus or train and save the car for as-needed but I guess we're in a car culture.

We have Dartmouth coach (bus) to Logan, I believe out of Hanover...
One of my neighbors told me about it.

Our passenger railroad system was gutted when cars got popular. We used to have a pretty extensive rail system. Rutland, for instance, had an enormous railyard well into the 20th century, with trains going all over the place...

I loathe that that happened. I think I read that, among other rail destroyers, rubber companies (as in car tires) bought up train track and ripped it up. Do you know more about that?
