Diablo 3 or Guild Wars 2? (RPG, multiplayer, 2011)

I think mmorpgs can be too time consuming, so I was thinking of getting some less time consuming like Diablo 3. But I am hoping Diablo 3 doesn't get boring after a year of play. I heard after you beat a multiplayer game you get a different item. Does this mean there are endless amounts of diff rewards? Are their updates to their games and patches? How often do they come out? Thanks!

Every game gets boring after a year in my opinion. Some get boring after an hour

And also how would anyone know. Diablo is still a year away

I heard Diablo is guessed to be out by June and Guild Wars 2 to be September. Maybe earlier for Diablo 3. The usual time it took to release a modern day Blizzard game was at 2 years and a seven months. D3 was announced in early June 2008. There is already two years and half years down. I would give it til February or March for a release. After all, Blizzard has nothing else coming out in 2011. Starcraft 2 was in 2010.

Diablo 3 will be just as time consuming as any mmorpg except it will be on your terms rather than raiding with 20+ other boneheads. Meaning you can just magic find by yourself and get items on your own schedule.

Steam still has diablo 3 listed as Q4 2011 although im sure they have not updated that.
