Since I gave up on MP, mine was based on SP. BO cannot compete with the amazing level design of CoD4. Let alone the missions were way more memorable i.e. sniper level (that every game copies now), stopping the nuclear missles, etc. BO, to be frank, I couldn't really remember a "moment" in that game. I would rate MW2 and WaW as well over it because of "moments" that BO missed on.

This is how I would rank them:

Multiplayer:
COD 4
Black Ops
MW2
W@W
COD 3

Single Player (veteran):
1. COD 4 and W@W
3. COD 2 and MW2
5. Black Ops

The original Modern Warfare for sure, set a precedent. I liked Modern Warfare 2, but still the COD franchise hasn't reached the original Modern Warfare (COD 4) in three titles since. Hopefully Modern Warfare 3 changes enough, but doesn't lose that great game play that COD has.
