Im "upgrading" to a new Xbox 360 with Kinect soon and "retiring" my current 360 and Turtle Beach X41s into the 16 year old's room. Wanted to find out from the experts here the BEST recommended surround sound headphones.

Turtle Beach PX5? X41? Triton? Which do you recommend?

Are you looking for one with an attached headset? After much research about a year ago I purchased a Senhessier PC350, modified it somewhat. I have it plugged into Yamaha receiver with a dolby sorround headphone setting.
If a tango takes a footstep within 100 feet of me in BFBC2 I can not only hear him, but I know exactly where he is.

You know, I never even thought about going through the receiver. DUH!! Actually, I was thinking about a similar model to my Turtle Beach X41s. Thought maybe some newer, slicker, better sounding headset have come out by now.

The senheisser has two jacks that seperate near the end - one for the headset gets plugged into the PS3 USB port via a 3.5mm to USB adapter. The other, for the headphone sound, gets plugged into the headphone jack of my Yamaha system. The PS3 is hooked up to my Yamaha via an optical cable. The Yamaha's have really good headphone dolby surround decoders and also drives the headphones. I not only use if for gaming, but for netflix and bluerays. It might seem like a complex wiring but I have it all tucked in nice and neat.

I am not sold on the wireless built in surround sound systems yet. I've heard complaints of hissing and cutouts on wireless. And, for me, a seperate surround system would be redundant with my existing home theater system.
