The life of a PC gamer is waiting for the next gen console so that the games can catch up with PC so the horrible ports *cough* COD *cough* can look better and hopefully have better graphics / engine. The limited FPS on a console holds us back too. Prices as somebody brought up, you get bargains on PC with Steam, Humble Bundle and whatnot.

The above only applies to "Ports" or simultaneous developed games. There are games that start/finish with PC.

Resolution (not texture) has remained higher on PCs. Along with frame rates. . .


one huge benefit - I know my movies, games, and tv shows all remain with me as I upgrade PCs.


Don't have to re-buy a game just because I moved consoles.
