Not a dad but I'd like to swing by a hit up a party sometime. I don't have it yet but will soon I am sure... by next month hopefully.

Typically when it comes to getting a game near release time, especially a game like this, is the starter community. Even if you don't have friends signed in, it's very easy to get a full party up and running since people are all excited to play. The longer the wait, the more people will get bored. Most times I get a game well after a release date. I picked up GTA IV w/ DLC for $15 at a used video game store as well as Modern Warefare 3 for $3 due to a trade in.

Anyone else actually playing now that it's out? I skipped Borderlands but since 2 was supposed to basically be the original but better, I thought I'd give it a go.

I LOVE this game. Way more than I thought I would. I was pretty burned out after Skyrim, but it's made me eager to pick up a controller again. It's just...fun. I'm playing Zero with mostly the sniper skill tree- it was actually pretty difficult to really get the hang of in terms of utilizing the character in the best way, but even that was nice- I haven't felt challenged by a game in some time.

I wouldn't recommend playing without a group of other people.

I don't care for GOTY Editions as I only enjoyed two of the four DLC for Borderlands one (I hated Moxxi Underdome Riot and Robot Revolution). Not all DLC are that appealing. I like being able to pick and choose which one I want and prefer games in their original content.

I've been playing it solo (I rarely play with others), but I can imagine it must be awesome to play with friends. It's that sort of game
