In the 80s i had Atari 2600 and colecovision and i think those are 2 of the BEST consoles of all time!

I think Atari 2600 was the BEST atari version ever..... More Games i loved on that console than the 2 newer ones (5200,7800) -- The graphics went downhill and didnt look as good,etc.........

The 5200 version of Berzerk is garbage compared to 2600! (In my opinion)

The 5200 version of dig-dug is CRAP compared to the 2600 version.... (Although i do think Colecovisions DIG DUG is better than atari's)

I saw a couple 7800 versions of games i have on the 2600 and i was completly disgusted in the quality..... WHAT HAPPEND??

I think we all know..... Stuff went DOWNHILL as the 80s progressed (And continue to )

You can get all 721 games released for the SNES in North America for $25,000 on eBay right now.

The big three from Nintendo were amazing games that are still worthwhile today: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Island, etc.

SNES for me as well. PS1 is a solid runner-up.

Sega Saturn ftw.

I love the early 3D games. Saturn had a great blend of popular 3rd party titles like Tomb Raider, Wipeout, and Resident Evil along with some great Sega exclusives like NiGHTS, Burning Rangers, Enemy Zero, etc.
