My question does make sense... My last console was an Atari 2600. Then I gamed on computers only, Commodore 64 then IBM PCs. So I don't have a full idea of the controllers used by the many consoles on FPS games. I have an Xbox 360 controller for PC but that gamepad is only used for Assasin's Creed series games, NBA and FIFA soccer, and never for an FPS shooter. Gaming mouse and keyboard gives you precise aiming control for headshots.
So how do you aim on console games like FC3?
My gaming rig is nearly 2 years old now with a Geforce 570 card which still plays FC3 and Crysis 3 well, at 1920 x 1200 it's about 46 fps.

You aim with the left analog stick and move with the right analog stick. I think a mouse is easier, though.
People have been talking about resetting the outposts, there is apparently a patch out that allows you to do so:

So you don't play on a PS3 type system yet you state that gaming on them sucks. Aiming is easy. If you don't have enough co-ordination to move with one joystick, aim with the other and pull a button to shoot then you probably shouldn't be playing on any platform.
Console gaming sucks, like how do you precisely aim gunsights with a gamepad? Try going to PC gaming instead, lots of cheap sale download games for PC.
That's another discussion altogether. Of course FPS games are optimized for a mouse and keyboard, but a gamepad works fine, along with some auto-aiming devices that the gamemakers put in for console games (just so you don't have to be pixel exact with your aiming). On a multiplayer game, it doesn't matter, because everyone is on that level playing field of using a pad.
I actually prefer gaming on a console because I don't have to worry about geting the latest hardware, worry about compatability with my software, worry about keyboard complexity, and I can play on a couch on a 50 inch highdef TV. Ironically, I delegate my PC to playing low spec strategy games (except for the Total Wars series and a few selected others which are not on the consoles).
By the way, FC3 is available new at Gamestop for $29 until April 4th. It was actually cheaper then the used version of the game available their.
I'm at Far Cry 3 Warrior Rescue Service mission and I'm kinda stuck keeping on dying because I'm all weak again with none of my customized weapons. I nearly crafted everything by now and I have the Shredder, but starting out again with nothing really sucks but it's challenging. I just wish I liberated more outpost before going on the Ambush mission.
I looked at a Youtube video on how to complete this mission but I don't have the kill with a knife + throw a knife kill skill yet, so I'm going to struggle.
I hope I don't get stuck on this mission for long, so that one reason why I hated checkpoint save game systems.
I ran into that in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragons. I ended up starting the game from scratch...
