Yeah, the beginning was a bit boring and slow, but as the story progressed it really did get a lot more interesting.

I am thinking of trying L.A.Noire. I like the description of the game. Right now, it is about #3 on my list of games I want to get sometime.

However, if brushing my teeth turns out to be as much of a hassle for me as it was for bs13690, I just might give up before I get into it.

I played LA Noire when I was still fairly new to gaming. I'm simply horrible at shooter games, but this one was really easy to play and kept me interested. I would play it for hours without getting bored. Now I have discovered other games that are faster paced, I can see why some people who enjoy the constant action would get bored with it. I can honestly say it was a fantastic game for me, I loved it and will probably play it again,
Just out of curiousity, what are the other games on your list?

Sorry! I didn't see your response until today. The games on my list are below in order from most wanted to least. My grown daughter gave me five for Mother's Day (great daughter, huh?), which I noted with an asterisk.

1. Ni No Kuni, Wrath of the White Witch (I bought this one on 5/6/2013 along with my first PS3)
2. * Journey
3. L.A. Noire
4. * Heavy Rain (I *did* manage to brush my teeth in this one yesterday! )
5. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus
6. Tales of Graces f
7. * Little Big Planet
8. Atelier Rorona
9. * Lego Star Wars
10. * Katamari Forever

I made this list after reading lots of reviews and doing searches on PS3 games that are good but don't have quite so much excessive violence and battles as some games do. I am in my sixties and retired, and like more peaceful, easy games.

Too bad Team Bondi is gone even though I know Rockstar is working on the next LA Noire spin-off that will take place in 1920's Shanghai. I think they should also do a NYC Noire, and have it take place either in the early 60's or the late 70's. And have all five boroughs become explorable

I would love a version in Chicago in the 1920 and 30s during prohibition and the height of the mobsters.
