The one game I wish that would come to Steam is SWAT 4. Talk about a tactical shooter! As far as Unreal Tournament goes, I love those games. UT 2003 has a special place in my heart as I own the physical copy, but UT 2004 on Steam is great also. I have not played in a long time, but I would always smile when I could hit a moving player with the grenade launcher. The grenade launcher was about the only weapon I had extremely good accuracy on.
For those of you who haven't been following, H-Hour is now fully funded for the PC and alpha testing has begun. SOF Studios also is rumored to have investors ready to fund the PS4 port of the game as well.
I've been a big fan of the SOCOM series for a long time. I really enjoyed all the stealth missions and the online aspect of SOCOM II. These were probably the games that brought me into first person shooters genre.
I'm currently Playing Arma III for PC. I really love it because of the realism. Everything down to projectile penetration and bullet trajectory is programmed to be as real as possible. The level of control you have on the character is unlike anything I have ever seen, there are a ton of different stances i.e. prone and crouch aren't the only ones. You can shoot on your side or half way between crouch and standing. it's ridiculous.
Downloading the modpacks for it make it all the more fun. If you've never heard of it, I recommend taking a look at it. It'll make you get PC/Laptop that can run it. Definitely my favorite tactical/team shooter out there right now.
Today, SOF studios announced that beta testing would begin soon and thus who are involved in that did not have to sign non-disclosure agreements and are free to stream their own gameplay videos.
