Even the Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2. The PS2 had online and more selection of games to compensate for that. Resident Evil remake on the Gamecube shows just how great the Gamecube really was. Some multiplatform games performed better on the Gamecube like Def Jam Vendetta and 007 Nightfire.

PS2 was older lol. Thats why it had a bigger game libary and why Gamecube was more powerful.

The rumors of the Wii U's death have been greatly exaggerated.

I don't have a WiiU but the last games I played on Nintendo have been underwhelming. Plus they just ruined all of their main franchises.

Metroid Prime 3 and Other M were sadly underwelming
Skyward Sword was horrible! The motion controls and that cartoon look that they keep using for some reason was bad!
I can't even remember the last Mario game I played and from what I'm heating they just gave up on poor Star Fox.

The games were not fun.

You really ought to play the Mario Galaxy games. You're missing out.

A good thing is Nintendo just announced that they're licensing some of their franchises to 3rd parties. So you could be seeing Starfox and Earthbound again.

Maybe slumping sales isnt to do with game quality but more about people getting tired of playing video games and forever having to upgrade to new formats just to play more video games.
Personally being a gaming fan since Pong and playing 1000 games or more on every system i got halfway through Skyward Sword and got totally disinterested in the game and realized the passion for games had run its course, the game became just another game, been there done that,,boring..i've bought my last gaming system..

Mario Kart Wii and the previously mentioned Mario Galaxy games are incredible and can be played on either the original Wii or Wii U. Mario Kart Wii even offers on-line play that is absolutely free of charge and doesn't support any form of voice chat so even young sensitive ears can play on-line without being verbally assaulted.
