I would not say that until Capcom does there next Monster Hunter.
I think Monster Hunter and Pokemon does serious numbers for the Switch in Japan, but when? What is the biggest selling hand held game in the US? Pokemon? Persona? Animal Crossing?
IGN's review-in-progress of the Switch is 6.7, and Edge Magazine gave Zelda a 10. From what I've seeen, it looks like this will be the trend -- we're going to see a bunch of gushing reviews about Zelda, but mediocre reviews of the Switch. I'm torn...Zelda is a game series that probably tugs at my heart more than any other. I think I'll wait this out another year before purchase, see if we can at least get more good games on the system. Honestly I won't even mind hardware issues so much as long as there are GREAT Nintendo games.
Also, I can afford to wait with this PS4 backlog I got...
To be fair, you really cant review a system without reviewing the games. Zelda is getting the 10-10-Masterpiece reviews. I think an older Zelda game got one of those kinds of scores back in the day. What other games come out with the Switch tomorrow?
Zelda has been getting stellar reviews as expected.
But the system itself, mixed reviews. The consensus seems to be, the potential is there, but better to wait to buy the Switch since the release games are not much besides Zelda. I wouldn't spend money to buy the system until more is known about it (streaming apps, etc). $400 plus is not what I would spend just for one game.

Yeah, that's the approach I'm taking too. I'd like to see at least 4-5 games I'd want to play
I'm disappointed in the Switch. Not because it's a bad system but because I'd never use it as a portable. Personally, I'd rather see Nintendo make a very affordable home console that doesn't rely on gimmicks but rather the company's vast library of intellectual properties to succeed. Guess I'm just not cool enough for Nintendo to consider me a viable customer anymore.

I guess it's a gimmick, but they didn't come out swinging again. They basically put all of their past systems into one system, but they NEED the software and DONT rely American 3 Parties. Just copy them and make your own versions of them. Nintendo needs games on games on games. They need to focus on the games PlayStation and Xbox will stay away from, be right now all the Switch does is Play Games. The DS has more features.

Their virtual console is in the works, but I heard it's kind of ridiculous in that if you purchase a game to play, you only have it for a few months or so.
Anyways, as great as the new Zelda game is, I think Nintendo could have done a lot better in terms of games. I was looking at their release calendar this year, and outside of a few games like the new Super Mario, most of it seems like RPG's and little indie games. No great third party games like those that are being released for the PS4/Xbox One.
Where's Donkey Kong? Metroid?
