I use the mobile app authenticator so that the only way anyone can get in is if they get the code by visiting my mobile app. (Which is actually a mobile app simulator on my pc, not on an actual mobile phone.) It's called "Steam Guard".
Would recommend using that feature if Steam gets hacked enough to cause this type of concern.

Mobile app simulator? What's it called and where do I get it? I'm sick of not being able to sell off the 50+ trading cards on steam because all I have is a flip phone.

The one I've been using is called "LeapDroid". They (LeapDroid) just announced that they are no longer supporting it, meaning no new updates will be coming, but it still works well. Whenever you use it, it will be like you're using a Samsung Galaxy...whatever. I forget which version. One of the latest ones.

Figures, just looked and they have removed all versions from their website.
Once you choose and download, go to Steam and use the SteamGuard to protect your account. What will happen is that every time you sign in to Steam via browser, (not the client), you will put in your user name and password, and then it will tell you to get the code from your app.
You open up whatever emulator you have chosen, open steam there, and then you will get a code. You have like 30 seconds to flip over to your browser and enter the code before a new code is generated.
I have never used the other ones but you will see some repeats on both of those lists. Hopefully you can find something so that you can do your thing on Steam.
