Are you getting it?

Reviews are in, very good overall no surprise there.

Gamespot gave it a 9 and IGN a 10.

One thing Gamespot mentioned that was distracting was the attempt at realism by having to eat, etc,.

Nope, not going to bother since the first one literally put me to sleep.

I read the main story is even longer than Assassin's Creed Odyssey's.

I'll get it since I liked the first one and love open world games overall.

So far it's looking great, the graphics and mechanics are simply breathtaking. I'm currently on Chapter 2.

I'll probably pick it up for the online. Hopefully it's not as chaotic as GTA V Online was/is.

I'll get it as I mentioned before.

But I still have a long way to go on Assassin's Creed Odyssey so will just download.

so far, most reviews are talking about how great it looks- however has there been any "true" reviews on control mechanics? on one of the trailers, it looked really cumbersome mounting his horse.

I, too, dig open world games but the first RDR put me to sleep every time I played it. I just could not get into it.

The mechanics are fine, and there’s plenty to do. The weapon & gear are all in interchangeable menu wheels, which will take some getting used to. I’m also digging the story so far. My only criticism is the long rides during missions drags down the action a bit.
Another thing that’s nice is you can buy food, clothes and weapons for your character via the Rockstar Social Club, so you don’t have to find a town just to resupply.
