I'm a huge fan of the old 80's and 90's style turn-based RPG games (the old FF's, Dragon Warriors....you get the idea). I know that those are a dying breed, making way for the newer style of RPG games such as Fallout 3 and Oblivion. However, it seems like of all the systems, there are more RPG's out on the DS than any other system. Are a lot of them the old turn-based style, or pretty close? Thanks!
Chrono Trigger is exactly the same as the original SNES version, with an extra sidequest that is absolutely a pain, and an extra ending. FFIV is a remake of the best FF ever, next to Tactics, and it's turn based as well. FFIII is out for it as well, but it's not quite like the original. I got FF Tactics A2 also when it came out, but haven't played it yet. I also put all the old school roms on mine so I can still play the classic nes/snes games too.
Surprisingly enough, DS has quite a variety of RPGs on it. Turn based like the classics will always be my favorite.
Good to hear! I bought a PSP awhile back hoping for some of those, and there are a few, but looks like when the new DS comes out in April I'll have to trade it in. Thanks for the info!
