Japan lines up for Xbox 360 game: Madness prevails | Destructoid offers reviews, previews, trailers, cheats, and more.

And so it begins. It started with Blue Dragon, it continued with Tales of Vesperia, and if they keep Last Remnant, Star Ocean IV, and numerous other RPGs, the deal will be sealed.

360 just might win this war.

Yes, but do you know the power that RPGs have in Japan? In Japan, RPGs make or break a console. And the 360 has the most RPGs, even jRPGs coming to it.

have you seen the lead the PS3 has? Even with all these RPGs the 360 isnt even selling a fraction of what the ps3 is. The only place the 360 was leading was America and since what, march or so the PS3 has been outselling it.

The xbox is dead in Japan, they just aren't players in the market at all, in spite of the publicity that linked article (or advertisement in the guise of a legitimate news article) is trying to generate.

It's just not RPG's, but Japanese also like these strange lifestyle games. Also they avoid foreign made products and see them as inferior.

Hmmmm.

Dont be surprised if the 360 picks up in Japan while it drops here. Everyone over their owns a PS3, so they might want to enter the 360, while here its vice versa.

Unless what Dd714 said is true in which case its in the grave.

This isn't true at all. The 360 is far from dead in Japan. It's sold more units than the Xbox did already, it even overtook the PS3 for a few months in 2007. The PS3 is selling more right now, but games have a huge effect on what sells a consoles. And Japan loves them some RPGs. And when we compare upcoming games for consoles, the 360 has the most RPGs coming out for it. jRPGs and otherwise.

I think the article fails to mention that they are the only store to sell this game in Japan.
