Ive had it for a while now, and the latest games that are coming in has now convinced me that I did not make a bad choice. Things are finally looking up for the system.
btw, if you own a High Def TV and dont own a Blu Ray, the PS3 is a must buy.
My first 360 got it, but I had warranty on it at Gamestop so i just switched it out for a new one, but I noticed it got hot quickly (the old 360) so i bought the fan cooler for the new one and it's been good for about a year and a half?
My 360 just suffered the RROD yesterday. I called Microsoft and they’re sending me a box so I can return the unit for repair. In all honesty I hope they just swap it for the newest version with the “Jasper” motherboard as every other mb has had issues.
Fortunately I have a Nintendo Wii to play while the 360 is out of commission but if I didn’t I’d be seriously negged out. I won’t really miss the 360 but I am disappointed that I won’t be playing Call of Duty 4 via XBL for a while.
Oh, my 360 started acting up right after I downloaded the NXE update. That may just be a coincidence but the system was running perfectly before that.
grizz they won't.. they'll try and fix it and send it back
If Microsoft just fixes my old unit then I’ll probably sell it when it gets back. I may wait to find out if the Jasper motherboard is anymore reliable but the larger 60 Gig hard-drive of the newer models is attractive now that you can rip games.
I've had my 360 for over two years now and (touch wood) haven't had the red ring of death, or any other problems with it for that matter. Nor do I know anyone who has experienced it either (touch wood again). I think you're pretty safe getting a 360 now and, if it does fail, I'm pretty sure Microsoft will either repair or replace the console. I'm chuffed with mine.
