I got hit with the red rings. I sent it off the Microsoft ago a week back. It is in the process of getting fix, but if anything, they might sent me a new one. My co-woker keeps telling me that. Hopefully, it won't happen again.

Which is interesting, because the NXE update is supposed to do the opposite. Especially with installing games onto the hard-drive, so the 360 isn't working as hard.

(Seriously, the system runs as quiet as running an arcade game as it does running an installed game)

Yeah I REALLY liked running Call of Duty 4 off of the hard-drive but it was around that same time that the game started locking up, then one day it stopped completely and immediately gave me the RROD.

Ironically I just got an e-mail from Microsoft today informing me that my 360 has been repaired and is ready to ship. I guess they’ll mail it out Monday morning so I’ll most likely have it back by Christmas. Yea!

Edit: Oh, and I like my Mii better than my Avatar.

I like my avatars better. I simply like the customization better with avatars, and I don't like how the Mii's look. However, overall customization (outside of outfits) HAS to go to Home.

I found the Microsoft XBOX customer service phone number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX. I'm probably going to contact them this week. My son's 360 has been dead for about three months now, but we just never got around to fixing it.
