Have you played Gears? Tomb Raider has nothing on it when it comes to gore.

The tomb raider game was for me not him. He does not enjoy the series.

I just got my PS3 and have a list of games:

The Orange Box
Burnout Paradise
Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion
Resistance 1
Fallout 3
Little Big Planet
GTA4
Rainbow Six Vegas 1
Battlefield: Bad Company
Hot Shots Golf
COD4...hate WWII games

Don't know much about games, but interested in these. Elder Scrolls seems really cool. I like enjoying the game...taking my time...not rushing through blasting things to bits every second.

2009:
Skate 2
MLB Manager
MLB 2K9 with Tim L. on cover
Black 2? Hopefully

Killzone 2

I know, I know, it won't be out till 2009, but if there's someone who can give it to me way before it's released, itmust be Santa.

I’ll get this started. The only game I’m mildly interested in that I don’t already own is Call of Duty World at War for the Xbox 360.

Fallout 3 is more similar to Oblivion than GoW. What sets it apart from other games is the great storytelling, post-apocalyptic humour, weapons that are fun to use, VATS system which adds a great strategic element, and an all around general good RPG system.

Fallout 3 deserves every bit of hype it gets.

Yeah Guitar Hero is a great party game! Now that you mention it I probably wouldn’t mind owning it myself so that my buds and I would have something other than Mario Kart or Brawl to play when we get together at my house.
