Hardcore modes take care of the problem of unloading into someone and them not dying....that's why I only play HC.
I typically did hardcore when I was soloing, but vanilla when I was at the mercy of my friends. A good suggestion.

Treyarch was clearly trying to capture the same spirit of weapon customization that Infinity Ward added in MW, but these additions played on my completely irrational dislike of things being out of order (i.e. Americans using a Stg-44....the horror!), but I will admit that it wasn't as bad as I feared before the game came out. I kinda like that in Battlefield, the US will start with Garands/Thompsons/Springfields and only through scavenging dropped weapons can you stray from what you're originally equipped with.
It seems in most FPS i have played the p 90 always winds up being the best gun. Its true in cod 4 modern warfare, combat arms and a few others i have played. I have not played WAW but is the p 90 the best gun in WAW? I find it a little bit ridiculous that a sub machine gun can hit you accurately from 200 yards away on fully automatic when half of the assault rifles can not.

There isn't a P90 in WAW- it probably wouldn't fit with the rest of game...the FN P90 was designed in 86/87 which is 40+ years after WWII
Perhaps in overall the P90 is the best, but in CQC there are a few guns that are just better imo- Skorpion, Uzi, and MP5....come to think about it the P90 was my least favorite of the sub machine guns

while the P90 was good in CoD4, it was far from the best gun, at least IMO. But like the above poster said, WaW is a WW2 shooter.

My favorite gun would have to be either the SVT40 with flash hider, the scoped M1 Garand, or any of the unscoped Bolt Actions.

What I normally do with the FG is pick a set of perks to compliment it well to maximize it's effect, Bandolier in slot 1, Sleight of Hand in Slot 2, and steady aim in slot 3. That's a baddass combination. Give it a try sometime.

even with Bandolier, I still go through ammo quick, and I even shoot in bursts. It just has an extremely high rate of fire. But yeah I love sleight of hand, but I only play HC so Camoflage is more important IMO.
