I can remember the moment my brother got a Sega Genesis for (I think) his birthday. He was so excited, I didn't really know what it was. But it got hooked up and he played Sonic. Died pretty quickly, and of course my parents said I should get a turn, and I was oh so proud of getting further than he did before I died. I was probably 5 (brother was 7).
I miss the classic Sonic. But I recently got an emulator so I can play it again!
I remember getting my first Atari 2600... then the 5200... those were the first ones, but it wasn't until Nintendo came along with Mario Brothers and the Ducks that I really got into it...
Then it was Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo... Nintendo 64... Sony Playstation... Gamecube... Play 2... Xbox.. Xbox 360... play 3... wii...
Nowadays it seems like I do most of my gaming on facebook... still have a play 3 and a wii, but don't play them as much since we have little kids... I guess once they grow up we'll get into them
That duck shooting game on the Super Nintendo. You know, the one with the orange gun lol. Didnt play it all that much though. The N64 is the console that truely made me become a "gamer," thats where most of my gaming memories are. F-Zero X and Mortal Combat Sub Zero ftw.
This generation Ive had a drop off in interest when it comes to gaming. Most likely do to the insane price for a 6-15 hour sp game and the overabundance of FPS and not enough of everything else.

My first time playing any sort of video/computer game from probably ******* on my dad's old PC. I was probably about 5 or 6. Got my first SNES when I was 9 in 1995 bundled with Super Mario Allstars, then played Donkey Kong, Super Market Kart, NBA Jam, then got a N64 in 1997. Played some PC games from the early 90s, including Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Wing Commander, Minesweeper of course , but only got into PC games in a big way about 1997 or so. Enjoyed playing FPS, RTS's and some others, never got into RPG's that much for some reason, either Nintendo or PC.
Why on earth was 'f r o g g e r' blanked out? Is that kind of offensive slang in the US?
