Nice article on the changing Lynchburg.

Good article, and from what I can tell, it seems both Lynchburg and Roanoke will have bright futures ahead. I just wonder though, especially with the growth of LU and the students they are bringing in, if Lynchburg will eventually surpass Roanoke in population. If the trend of these past ten years continues, I'd say it will happen, maybe not soon, but on the horizon. Either way both cities have something to be proud of.

The group of young professionals moving to a city is goal many cities have.
I think more are moving to Roanoke with the new medical school, clinic also.
They bring more energy to the downtown area which is a good thing for business. I also like the fact that our region is attracting affluent retirees who bring money to pay for all of the schools, new roads, etc that the young professionals demand. It seems like our region is on a roll.
