Sure and that's great for B&W, but like the article says, only 35 will be placed there, while the rest of them will be permitted to work virtual from wherever.

They can't get enough people to move there.

Default Hopefully some will consider relocating

As someone who works virtually for a DC area company, I've found Lynchburg a great place. Not only was I able to get a great home at a very reasonable price (esp. when compared to NoVA), there is a much better quality of life here, too. I only miss the Whole Foods.

A lot of engineers may not be able to work virtual because of system and apps, but they will probably bring them in contract.

Great news, PLus Lynchburg has better Amtrak service to DC now. I would also like to see more spin off jobs from VA Tech stay in this region rather than whisking them off to NoVa. Blacksburg is trying to keep the higher end jobs here also. Lets hope it continues.

Right now it's only the corp office that will leave Lynchburg, a lot of the operational facilities will remain.

AND THAT IS GREAT NEWS FOR SOME OF US!!!!

Maybe the state can comein and make a deal that keeps them, but it will be tough. One major disadvantage of smaller cities like Lynchburg is the lack of air service to major markets. For most companies that's a big deal for top corp staff who travel often. Hopefully they keep the core business in L.
